My Bike & Build Profile

I'm 21 years old, I graduated from Northeastern University in May 2010.

After Bike & Build I will be joining the Peace Corps in September. I'm still waiting for my official assignment, though I'm nominated for health in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Some time in my life I fell in love with traveling and the thrill of living in a foreign country. These are the places I have lived:

• Maryland to 1996
• Milan, Italy 1996-2000
• Maryland 2000-2007
• Pennsylvania 2007-Present, while going to college in Boston, MA

I also studied abroad in Cuenca, Spain & Auckland, New Zealand while at Northeastern University. I've visited dozens of cities in countries all over the world, but while some people say, "Wow you've been a lot of places!" I prefer to think the opposite. There is definitely more to see!  Many of my friends went to SE Asia after New Zealand and I did not. That's an entire CONTINENT I haven't been to! And don't get me started on South America and the Caribbean...

This brings me back to Bike & Build: I chose the southern U.S. Route because with all this traveling I've done, I haven't seen much of the U.S.! Specifically, the Southern portion. I've seen plenty of the states that get snow--I LOVE to ski. But those warm states down south, uhhh I doubt I know their capitols :/
This trip will be a great cultural learning experience for me in my own country and I can't wait! One of my current life goals is to "visit all 50 U.S. states" and I'm ready to start checking a bunch off the list :)
